What is Hypertonic Muscle Balancing?
It is used by Kinesiologists, Professional Athletic Trainers, Coaches, Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths, to release the excess (hyper) tension (tonic) in muscles.
Kinesiology uses the muscles like a keyboard on a computer, to gather the information from programs running within our bodies. We can then change and delete these old programs and reboot the body to improve its efficiency. By clearing these hypertonic muscles, the person is able to use their body in an integrated way, giving improved power and flexibility to their chosen activities. All techniques are simple, safe and effective.
What is a Hypertonic muscle?
A hypertonic muscle is one that is in an over-protective state, causing pain and restricted movement, as a way for the body to protect itself from further damage.
It is often weak and is caused by –
Injury, Overuse, Physical Exertion (Sports, Athletics, Dance), Car/Motorcycle Accidents, Horse Riding Accidents, Birth Trauma, Poor Posture, Work Habits, Wearing high-heeled shoes, Stress, Jaw Clenching, Tight Neck/ Shoulders, Poor Diet & Food Intolerance.
Each muscle is related to certain organs in the body and one muscle can cause hypertonicity throughout the body, resulting in further injury and pain.
